What is M5 Audiovisual?
M5 Audiovisual is the commercial name of "Milimetros Corporaciones Industriales Audiovisuales, S.L." with permanent headquarters in Cordoba.
Created in february 2004, M5 Audiovisual has raised from Milimetros Dibujos Animados, S.A. and "Las Corporaciones Industriales de Córdoba agrupadas, S.A. (Grupo Cinco)", companies created in 1982 and 1993 respectively, belonging to different environments, that have join resources and experience in a strategic alliance.
MILIMETROS DIBUJOS ANIMADOS, S.A., is the most experienced animation studio in Spain. It started providing
services to the most important international producers (Disney, Hanna Barbera, Metro Goldwing Mayer animation,
etc.), and it is considered one of the main animation producers in Spain since it dedicates mostly to own
productions. One of the main assets of the company is the proffesional prestige of the founders, Ángel
Izquierdo and Antonio Zurera.
GRUPO CINCO, mostly compounded of public capital and developed with the participation of Cordoba Provincial Council and Cajasur, is a tool in which public and private initiative join efforts to start projects that join profitability of invested resources with the generation of wealth of the region, contributing to the economic reactivation.
One of the lines of action of "Grupo Cinco" is the participation in the social capital of the companies that create economic expectations in the province. That has a triple purpose: to contribute to creation of business net; to provide resources to medium and small companies for the adaptation to technological innovations; and to contribute to the improve of the economic-financial structure of companies.
Creation of "M5 Audiovisual" fall into the frame of this line, where "Grupo Cinco" and "Milimetros" position themselves for adding themselves to an economical activity sector that is not established in the province, keeping in mind improve it.
This has a demonstrative effect for other initiatives and in addition, it facilitates the labor insertion of the young people who are forming themselves in the matter.
With that main purpose in mind, the concretion of the activities developed by M5 Audiovisual are:
- Promoting the animation industry through the colaboration with the organization of events, such as, International Animation Festival in Cordoba.
- Contributing in the training of proffesionals, participating, among others, in the FPO Animation courses organized by "Consorcio Provincial de Desarrollo Económico" through "Animacor", or in the Professional Animation Industry Seminar.
- Producing animation films and TV series with an international success, such as, those all in which Milimetros worked as services provider in the first stage.
