The project of M5 Audiovisual "The Adventures and Misadventures of Don Quixote" is a series for television of 52 chapters of 13 minutes directed to an audience between six and nine years. To allow the approach of the objective audience in a nice, carefree and amusing way to a masterpiece of the universal literature, so that when they acquire the maturity enough and affront to the adolescence with the novel, avoid to relate Cervantes’s work with a tedious book and compulsory reading.

With this series, the infantile audience will access to the Quixote through a magical world in which the characters-animals created will unwrap naturally and through which educative and universal values in the novel with the purpose of contributing to form a fairer and freer future society.
"The Adventures and Misadventures of Don Quixote" is defined as an adaptation of Cervantes’s work that maintain intact the spirit and the philosophy of the original work. It is permitted as a only one licence and with didactic purposes exclusively, the adaptation of the written by Cervantes to a language accessible to the objective audience to which the work is led. The series strengths the comic and ridiculous situations in which they are involved, exploiting utmost the sense of humour that underlies in Cervantes’s work, playing down transcendence to the most tragic chapters of the work.
The original characters have been "transformed" into animals mainly because in the first years of life, the animal world is nearer of the infantile universe (cuddly toys, tales, toys, songs...) what facilitates the comprehension and the assimilation of the content of the series to the objective audience.
The characters have to learn to make their own decisions, valuating adverse opinions, critics…assuming the consequences of their acts.
The spreading of this series will contribute to that adolescent manifest interest to read the original work, identifying or comparing the characters and the adventures that remember their infantile stages with the descriptions of the original text, discovering the pleasure of enjoying of the Quixote.
