The series "Los Martes de 2016", organized by the
"Confederación de Empresarios de Córdoba" (CECO), gave the right to speak to the representatives
of the private initiative in Cordoba, that position themselves in the conviction, the work and
the common effort to confront the candidacy of Cordoba as European Capital of Culture in
2016.
The colloquy, celebrated in the "Circulo de la Amistad", gather together different businessmen related with the cultural environment of Cordoba, like Carmen del Campo, director of the "Carmen del Campo" art gallery; Julian Molina, one of the responsible of "Teatro Avanti"; Manuel Pimentel, publisher of "grupo Almuzara”; Fernando Vacas, musical producer and Eureka record sign responsible; and Antonio Zurera, Director of the International Animation Festival Animacor, and director of the production company M5 Audiovisual. All they, yesterday pointed out that the candidacy of Cordoba for European Capital of Culture offers to the city an opportunity for modernizing and, at same time, spreading the cultural wealth of the all variety of (quitar) projects that shapes the cultural life in the city.
Antonio Zurera explained that the message in this sgruggle must be positive. "For personal experiences, I always go for win and I have lost in a lot of times, but I get up and continue. So, I mean that personal attitude in the institutions and people must to be that. Cordoba must think how to sum". For the cinema director, people from Cordoba must go out "without fear to loose, and without fear to win in 2016."
The owner of the art gallery Carmen del Campo referenced the infrastructures that have to be defined before 2011 for putting at the service of this cause. To her judgement, projects like the "Palacio del Sur" or the Auditorium “must to remain beyond 2016, even if we don't archieve to be cultural capital”
Fernando Vacas, responsible of Eureka record sign, aimed to struggle for the challenge of being cultural capital, and show all his support to the independient musicians whose "must to go on" in their professional career.
Manuel Pimentel, who has converted Almuzara to the first andalusian publisher, that includes four publising signs, present in Mexico and Spain, positions himself optimist with the posibility of Cordoba becoming european capital of quitar culture, although we have to work for widing all the cultural initiatives keep in mind the purpose of reinforcing "that cultural net" .
Finally, scenic arts were represented by Julian Molina, one of the founders of Avanti project, who emphasized that "it is necessary to create a public that have been lost for years, because we haven't place to the margin of Great Theatre". According to Molin a "it is necessary another place for lower formats montages, festivals, etc., that usually had passed it by the city".
