"The Adventures of Don Quixote" at Cartoon Movie in Postdam
"The Adventures of Don Quixote", the last project of M5 Audiovisual, the well-known production company set in Córdoba, was presented with success in the last edition of the Cartoon Movie 2008 (Potsdam 5/3-8/3).
This international adaptation of Cervantes’s novel "Don Quixote" is the first time though for children up to nine and was surprising for the audience for its original design and creative development. This film written by Antonio Zurera and directed by Ángel Izquierdo, has captivated the audience attending: "It is an interesting project which joins with cleverness entertaining and educational values. It stands out for its innovative idea, cultural and attractive for general audiences and with a special interest for the International Educational community".
Among the people who showed interest in the Project, should be pointed out important international distributors such as Lumière (Belgium), RUSCICO (CIS), DIRE and Outsider from France, or INTERSONIC (Slovakia, Czech Rep. and Hungary) and European companies which will study a possible co-production like Grupo Alcuni in Italia, Zeppelín in Portugal or Studio Miniatur in Poland.
This demonstrates the international view this adaptation has and its capacity to arouse the interest within very different countries.
José María Albendí (TVE), who will co-produce the Tv series (in development stage), from the same idea, wanted to emphasized the interest of this project before the event finished.
